The Tongass National forest is 17 million acres of rain forest in SE Alaska. That means snow forest in the winter. You didn’t define “small” but small, snowy towns in the Tongass include Petersburg, Wrangell, Juneau, Gustavus, Skagway, Haines, Kake, Angoon, Hoonah, Pelican, Elfin Cove, and Yakutat. I deliberately left off the list Ketchikan and surrounding communities because their temperatures are more moderate and they get less snow.
