Bitdefender is currently in its tenth version, and is produced by Softwin. I don’t know what you want to know, so here are the highlights: – It installs easily and somply. In a few minutes, you are uready to go. – Same goes for the firewall. Start the wizard, set the standard browser and mailclient, and you are done. It uses network profiles for keeping different settings. – After installation, it performs a full scan of your system, making sure you are secure. – The anti-virus is VERY good, and detects about all possible virusses. It has won several awards for its accuracy. You can set it to Agressive, Standard, or Lenient. – A full scan takes about 1,5 hours. When performing a deep scan, this can increase to 5 hours or more. – The anti-virus software updates every hour, which is a lot. At every update, you will get a nagging screen, so that might be a bit intrusive. – Additional items are parental control, anti-spam, but lacks a phishing filter. – The firewall is a bit dodgy though..
