Does anybody have info or experience with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI)???
Hopefully some current RPI students will reply to your post but I can offer comments about my son’s experience at RPI. He is finishing his third year there, majoring in chemical engineering. He seems to love it there – has made great friends, plays three intramural sports throughout the school year (even learned to skate so he could play intramural ice hockey), has been involved in a club etc. He has not pledged a frat but frats do sponsor activities and parties that non-frat members can go to. The workload can be intense, but I think most of the students figure out how to balance hard work with fun. I know my son finds time to go off campus with friends to restaurants, concerts, and yes, occasional mall or Walmart runs. He really does not have much free time for video games but probably plays them sometimes. He just enjoys hanging out with his friends, they always find things to do. From observation I have found that most of the RPI students I have met are very smart, talented and foc
