Does anybody have experience with the VPI Classic?
For what it’s worth, HP of The Absolute Sound says the Classic is the best VPI ever. It’s one of just two tables listed in his “Editor’s Choice” list. The other is a Clearaudio Statement to the tune of $150,000. (September ’09 issue) As to any resemblance to the HW-19, from what I read, the only thing the two have in common is appearance, and even that isn’t all that close. No suspension in the Classic.
