Does anybody have a defense against biblical creation?
Expect a large number of long discredited misrepresentations, quotations from sources they haven’t actually read that have been taken out of context and doctored, garbage about the second law of thermodynamics not allowing evolution to occur, and so on and so forth. Remember big bang theory isn’t part of evolutionary thoery, and nor is abiogenesis. Evolutionary theory says nothing whatsoever about how life came about, whether there is or isn’t a deity, or the origins of the universe. It provides an explanation as to how such a large range of lifeforms arose. Also expect confusion of carbon dating with radiometric dating, and the presentation of supposedly unreliable dates for marine organisms. Marine organisms can’t be reliably dated by carbon dating, as has been known for decades. Your opponent will have little actual knowledge of what they’re supposed to be talking about, and even less interest in gaining actual knowledge. Their sources will be the usual “creation science” webpages.
