Does anybody find it VERY frightening when they know they are going to have a gran mal seizure?

My problem is that I don’t even get the aura’s to let me know they are coming on. So, very frightening doesn’t begin to describe how I feel when I come back around. The First time was 2 days after a head injury at work. I thought that I had a concussion because of symptoms after the head injury. My wise Doctor admitted me to the hospital and was in my room when I suffered from the first one. That was right in the middle of a sentence too. I awoke to find all the padding around the bed, my Doctor sitting on the window sill and smiling with a welcome back. I found out it was the first gran mal seizure and then was put on standard medication and referred to the neurologist. Fast forward to today. I don’t hear of too many people with no aura at all. I really think I would prefer to know just so I can make sure there is nothing I could hurt myself on. I had one when I was out of town and staying in a hotel with my hubby.
