Does any program exist that provides education and research support to the dairy industry of British Columbia (B.C.)?
Yes. The University of British Columbia (UBC) Dairy Education and Research Centre. The Centre is located immediately north of Agassiz on land leased from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), approximately 130 kms east of UBCs Vancouver campus and 30 kms from either Chilliwack or Hope. The Centre has two key functions: (1) to serve as a focal-point for dairy education programs provided in B.C. and beyond; and (2) to provide state-of-the-art research facilities for students and scientists performing basic research and developing and adopting new technologies relevant to the dairy industry.
