No one has the right to make fun of other peoples belief no matter what religion the belong to. Most religions teach their followers not to harm fellow beings either physically or verbally so how can jokes be allowed, that would amount to harming the fellow being. In a civilised society these are not tolerated in any way, despite the fact there are folks who do it. I have never in my life made mockery of anyones religious belief in the 51 years that I have been on the planet. I have friends from all walk of life and religious beliefs, never ever had an issue with that.

Hi Goldie, It really does depend on the content and flow of the answers. And how serious the asker/poster is/was! As you know I have an interest in reincarnation and many times posters have made jokes about coming back as a dog etc but I don’t take it seriously! I do love humor as it lightens up the mood of the discussion. It can be different if someone writes condescending, rude, belligerent or hurtful comments. You can tell if the questions are very serious and require delicate consideration. You have to feel the mood. I know I can be direct at times and have apologized for my replies. But I have trouble with fundamentalist/ sulfur hell fire and the we are all sinful stuff. It’s infantile and uneducated silliness! I do make comments like I own property at the Lakes of Fire but this is in jest and usually with others and not directed at anybody. So it is all in a context. You feel the mood.
