Does any one think there is a point in dangerous dog list?
I think that part of the reason behind it is that some dogs are more dangerous if they turn on you than others. Say…..you get bitten by the neighbor’s chi. You’ll probably be ok. At most, you might need a couple of stitches. Now say, you get bitten by the neighbor’s rottie. You will usually need several stitches. This difference in damage done by different breeds could mean the life of a small animal or child. I do not think that certain breeds should be considered dangerous just because they are a pit, rottie, gsd, etc. I do, however, think that owners of larger, more powerful dogs should be aware of the potential problems if not properly trained. The funny thing is, its usually the tiny dogs that are first to bite. Edited: I just wanted to add a thought……. It seems that society is always looking for the next person or thing to ridicule and hate. Maybe we should be trying to breed “aggressive” breeds to be more gentle and docile rather than saying we should just kill them all. B
