Does any one know any recipes for a quick and easy snack for after school?
My quick favourite is a grilled cheese sandwich, if you can cook. Healthiest uncooked snacks would be fruit, like an apple with cheese. You’re supposed to be hungry after school, don’t spoil your supper. Biggest problem is eating sugar or carbs, like candy or soft-drinks. These empty calories will just turn into excess body fat.
I have the exact same problem! First off, try those little yogurt cups that come in individual packages (but those aren’t very filling). Try Triscuits with one slice of cheese over the crackers and stick it in the microwave for 10 – 15 seconds, or until the cheese is melted. Use as many crackers and cheese slices as you want. Fruit and raw vegetables. I know that they’re probably not your first choice, but if you look for fruits you like (strawberries, mangoes, and watermelons are pretty popular) then you’ll be more likely to go for them. My favourite is one banana, sliced up, with a spoonful of peanut butter. I don’t like the bread much, but it’s a nice, quick snack. Even a few cookies will be good! Think if things that are easy and sweet/salty, whichever you like.
Granola Bars They take a little time to make, but are delish. I had some for breakfast today, but I can eat it anytime.
