1/2 cup butter, softened 1/4 cup shortening 1 1/3 cups granulated sugar 2 eggs 3 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking soda in a large bowl, mix butter and shortening on medium speed. Add sugar and beat until light. Add egs and mix well. In another bowl, mix flour, salt, and baking powder. Add 1/2 of flour mixture to sugar mixture and mix on low until just blended. Add remaining flour mixture and mix until soft dough is formed. Shape into 3 balls, wrap in wax paper and refrigerate for 1/2 hour. Roll out dough to 1/8 inch and cut chapes (heres where your 6 new cutters take place 😉 Grease baking sheet or use foil. Bake in oven preheated to 350F for 10 minutes. If desired, add sprinkles before baking or decorate with icing after baking once cookies are cooled. =] Heres an easier one I found online: INGREDIENTS (Nutrition) 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 cup butter, softened 1 1/2 cups white sugar 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanill
