Does any one have the Mossberg Muzzleloader barrel ?

I had one and it shot fine but after shooting it was a pain in the neck to clean. Whether you shoot a corrosive powder like black powder or Pyrodex or one of the newer non-corrosives like 777 or American Pioneer you’ll have to take the gun totally apart and clean everything. You’ll get some blow-back past the 209 primer and you’ll have to clean the bolt face where the firing pin comes out, the trigger assembly, the extractor, slides and basically everything else. If you don’t mind doing that they are OK. The sights are adjustable or if your gun has a drilled and tapped receiver you can add a scope. BTW, I got some strange looks when I ran into people in the woods and saw my “pump muzzle loader”. I finally bought a muzzle loader that was easier to clean. If you are interested, Natchez Shooters Supplies has the Remington Genesis .50 cal on sale now for $169. It was $300. They also have many others on sale too. Check them out at www.natchezss.com. In my opinion you’d be better off buying
