I used to be a mobile dj for wedding receptions/parties/get togethers etc for about three years. Music wise: a great ice breaker is to start with some upbeat music such as the black eyed peas ‘lets get is started’, or something that suits your guests ages. Find about three songs to start and tell your guests everyone is playing a song called snowball. Have the wedding party start dancing to the first song and tell the guests when you yell ‘snowball’ all the wedding party will go out into the crowd and bring someone to the dance floor. Just do that every 30-40 seconds to get everyone dancing, that way there is no akwardness in who will go up first. Really popular dance songs vary. I would just talk to some of the people invited and ask them what kind of music they like. The biggest mistake i believe a dj can make is playing all the music THEY think the crowd wants to hear. Its much funner and guests are much more active when you bring out music that THEY want to hear, not your dj. It cr
