Does anthropology encompass the other human ologies?
These fields do not fall under anthropology but they often cross over with anthropology. Especially today when people do a lot of cooperative research, the fields of academia are blurred and we all help each other and enhance each others’ work. Anthropologist must research the history of a people or region they are studying for example. To understand the current culture you must understand how it got there. And, sociologist often borrow methodology from anthropologists like participant observation.
