Does Anaheim Public Utilities currently supply green power?
In 2009, Anaheim Public Utilities expects to obtain approximately 10 percent of the community’s power from green sources, including wind, geothermal, biomass and waste, small hydroelectric and solar..The remaining 90 percent of Anaheim’s power supply mix is generated by Anaheim resources or purchased from specific suppliers. Those resources use conventional fuels, including coal, gas, and a “large” hydroelectric resource. Anaheim Public Utilities is aggressively supporting green power through its Advantage Services program, including the PV Buydown Program for residential customers and the Commercial Photovoltaic Incentive for businesses.
