Does an Occupational Health Nurse have to have qualifications?
An Occupational Health Nurse would usually have to have a qualification as a General nurse, which s/he then would follow up with a separate qualification in Occupational Health Nursing. From your statement, it would appear that either the company or the individual has something to hide. Maybe the “nurse” isn’t as qualified as s/he claims, for example. Unfortunately, since you no longer work there, you cannot do anything about this matter. If the company has to undergo an employee audit in the future, or an incident occurs involving this individual, then the anomaly will come to light. The Employment Tribunal may be able to instigate proceedings against the company ordering them to reveal the qualifications of this individual, so I would’nt worry too much about it since you no longer work there.
