Does an intel mac + Cubase SX 3 + new N.I. plug-ins = guaranteed activation problem?

Hello there, I am using a mac pro, 10.5.6, and Cubase SX 3, which is very useful for handling all the old Cubase stuff I’ve got, although I’ve got Logic Studio (Logic Pro 8) now. I’ve also got Komplete 5, with all the updates installed. It would be handy to use the N.I. plug-ins in Cubase SX 3 – specifically Guitar Rig, but having access to all of them would be good. I have found that, when used in Cubase SX 3, they always come up as needing Activation due my hardware having changed. (Needless to say, the hardware hasn’t changed.) I’ve run all the stand-alones successfully before using any plug-ins and everything is fine in Logic. Tried wiping everything out and re-installing but that did nothing to help. I strongly suspect that I’m wasting my time and effort, basing my suspicions on this thread:- http://www.native-instruments.com/fo…g ht=database To sum that up , it says that Cubase SX 3 runs in Rosetta (emulated) on an intel mac and that this is essentially the root of the problem.
