Does an end rhyme have to occur throughout the whole poem?
The term “end rhyme” refers to the sound at the end of one line in a poem rhyming with the sound at the end of some other line. In some poems, there are just two lines that rhyme while all the others do not, but that’s rare. Normally, a poem that uses rhyme will use it in a regular pattern throughout the entire poem. (“Monorhyme” is the term that describes a poem in which every line rhymes with every other line. That’s also rare.
