Although it’s good practice to provide equipment for heating food, eg., microwave, as well as a fridge in which to store it, an employer is not required by law to provide either of these. Legal requirements are: clean drinking water supply with an upward drinking jet or cups, and rest facilities including the facility for eating food which would otherwise become contaminated. Office desks, however, can serve as eating-places if employees are not working with the public.(I’m assuming you’re in the UK).
