Does an application to the MSTP affect admission to the Medical School?
To be eligible for the MSTP, an applicant must be acceptable for admission to the Medical School. However, admission to the Medical School and admission to the MSTP are separate. MSTP applicants are automatically considered for admission to the Medical School even if they are not offered a position in the MSTP. Applicants who enter the Medical School, but who are not accepted into the MSTP, may resubmit their application during their first or second year of medical education.
