DOES AN APPLICANT NEED ANY PRIOR MILITARY EXPERIENCE?
No. The vast majority of Navy JAGC applicants have no prior military service. Prior military experience may be a modest or significant advantage for the applicants competitiveness for selection, depending upon the nature and quality of service. Applicants with prior military experience are therefore encouraged to provide as much documentation as possible by including DD-214, fitness reports or evaluations and award citations with their application.
