Does an amendment to the registered member fee bylaw affect the Struct.Eng. / Non-Resident Licence Fees?

No. Only the professional member fee is controlled by bylaw and subject to ratification by the membership. However, if the burden of costs is not distributed equally among all members through a professional member fee increase, it is likely that we will have to increase fees elsewhere in order to help to cover the costs. Over the past few years, greater percentage increases have been implemented for other fee categories to cover the financial shortfall. For example, the current Non-Resident Licence fee is $480 per year. Proportionally larger fee increases to other fee categories is not our preferred course of action, but we may be left with little choice as the Association’s financial situation is indeed critical.
