Does American Idol showcase contestants with real talent?
American Idol is a show that truly does showcase talented performers. Some of the previous winners, such as Kelly Clarkson, have gone on to have tremendous careers. Even contestants that didn’t win have been extremely successful. Chris Daughtry is one of my favorite performers now. There have been a lot of talented singers on American Idol every season, prompting the public to tune in and watch the show. Unfortunately, some people only watch the show to see contestants make fools of themselves. I still can’t believe that some of the people who audition really believe that they have talent. It’s sad to think that some of the people who stand in line all day long, for the chance to audition for the judges, are only going to be put on the show to be laughed at.I wonder if they are told ahead of time that they don’t have a chance to actually get on the show, and audition anyway regardless? Maybe they feel that thirty seconds on national television is worth the humiliation. Even contestants
