Does Algonquin College in the Ottawa Valley have school sports?
Yes. We have one varsity sports team that competes against other Colleges and Universities. Each year, female and male students try out for our Loggersports team which challenges students to compete in several forestry related sports including pole climbing, cross cutting sawing and axe swinging. Additionally, the College operates an intramural sports program. The students choose what sports they want to play. This includes hockey, touch football, basketball, volleyball and any other sports that the student body has demonstrated it can support. Sports are organized by the Algonquin Students’ Association.
