Does Alaska AHEC accept international students for clinical rotations in Alaska?
The simple answer is ‘Yes’, the AHEC does accept students from outside the United States for clinical rotation opportunities in Alaska. However, given the limited clinical opportunities available, students attending school in the United States, especially if they have Alaska connections, are given priority in the selection process. International students are invited to apply, but please be aware of this priority. If you have intentions of practicing in Alaska or have personal ties to Alaska, please mention this in your letter of inquiry.
