Does AIANC prefer to have a sprinkler system in the building?

The building must be designed according to requirements of the North Carolina Building Code. The Building Committee has not discussed the issue of fire sprinklers. Under the Planned District Development (PDD) the site can accommodate a building of up to 20,000 sq. ft. and 55 ft. in height. Presently, AIANC has no intention of building a larger building. However, the entitlement that goes with the site would allow for future expansion. Decisions about fire sprinklers in the design process, may want to take these factors and citing of assembly occupancy locations into consideration.
