Does AHDI evaluate or approve medical transcription programs?
Yes. AHDI has a full list of approved educational programs that have met the standards set forth by AHDI and the American Health Information Management Association. You can find those programs by visiting our Approved Schools webpage. If you choose to go to a school not on our approved list, use can use the following list of the “7 must haves” for any program that achieves approval from AHDI. You can do the comparisons with non-approved schools as well as all of our approved schools and choose the one that best fits your needs.
