Yes. You can render, compress, and upload avi files (and a variety of other formats) in Adobe Premiere (any version). In CS3, to change your render settings, go to: File -> Export -> Movie, and click the “Settings” button. From there you will be able to choose the file type you’re exporting to as well as work with compression settings and a bunch of other options. Remember to keep your file sizes small so that they can actually upload to YouTube! If you must, you can always use windows movie maker to convert a final project into a WMV of around 30 megabytes without losing to much data. To do this, simply import your avi (or other supported format) into Windows movie maker, put the clip on the windows movie maker timeline, and “Save as” the movie with a desired filesize of around 20-30 megs.
