Does ACWIB count in performance subsidized employment as a job placement?
No. Internships, job shadowing, paid and unpaid work experience complement academic instruction and provide an opportunity to apply skills in the workplace. Work experiences are planned structured learning experiences that can take place in a workplace for a limited time period in the public and private sector with subsidized payments, with no deductions or contribution to UI Wage Records. Job placement qualifies when the individual/youth is employed and contributes to the UI Wage Records for the quarter after exit from a service program and show earnings greater than zero. The State UI Wage records are the primary data source for tracking employment in the quarter after exit.
