Does Activia Really Have Any Better Bacteria Than Normal Yogurt?

There are many different probiotic cultures and not all of them are in all yogurts. So to get the best result go for an unsweetened yogurt that has at least 3 strains of culture in it, I like the Nancy’s brand because it’s tart but not too tart, and it always puts me right after a course of antibiotics. You can tell if the cultures are active because they will have eaten all the milk sugar and fermented the yogurt to a tart flavour, also as it stays in your fridge the yogurt will become more tart, because it is still fermenting. If it does that, then it is living yogurt and will help you. Of course, when it starts to smell like wet socks, then it’s gone bad. 😛 IF you haven’t eaten it all by then! It can be an adjustment to American tastes which have usually been offered pudding-sweet yogurts but if the yogurt is too tart you can add a bit of maple syrup to it right before eating, or even better some honey(natural antibacterial) or molassses(full of vitamins) to sweeten it.
