Does acrylic paint show up on glass better or is it better to use tempura paint?
tempura paint will flake off and is not water resistant… if you are making something that is meant to stick around, then don’t use the tempura. its better suited for a cheap temporary window decoration. Acrylic paint will stick to glass very nicely, of course it can be scratched, but that’s pretty much true of any paint that is applied to smooth surfaces. Mixing the acrylic with pva (a type of glue) or a clear matte medium will also improve adhesion and give a nice translucent quality to the paint. They do have glass paint, but having tried it I wasn’t very impressed. Its very hard to get a nice even coat of paint, acrylic is easier to handle in my opinion.
