Does Accu-Clear reduce the oxygen level in ponds?
No. If an algae bloom suddenly dies or is trapped in the pond filter, however, a sudden drop in the oxygen level can occur. The decomposing algae will consume some of the oxygen in the pond. In very warm weather water holds very little oxygen. It is important to maximize aeration in the warmer seasons to prevent oxygen depletion and fish loss. Can I add a double dose of Accu-Clear to make my water clear faster? No. Adding more than the recommended dose will not improve the performance of Accu-Clear.
