Does a womans doctor continue to communicate with her regarding Pap test results?

0

Yes, a woman’s doctor continues to communicate Pap test results with her in the usual fashion. The program does not replace usual communication with her doctor. Can a woman choose not to participate in the program? A woman may choose to be excluded from the ACCSP. This will mean that her test results will not be included in the program and she will not receive result or reminder notices. Her doctor will not receive any help from the ACCSP about her care, such as reminders for follow up care or help in contacting her about an abnormal test. It is up to the woman to let her doctor know that he or she will not be reminded by the program if the woman is overdue for follow up to her test. Please talk to your doctor about the benefits of being part of the ACCSP before making this decision. What if a woman doesn’t want to participate in the program? If you decide not to participate in the program, you should contact the ACCSP at 1-866-727-3926 to request that an exclusion form be sent to you.
