Does A Thyroid Scan See A Cancerous Nodule?

0

A thyroid scan can help to see if there is a problem with a person’s thyroid. It can not tell for sure if the problem is due to cancer. Only a biopsy will. Note that, of all types of cancer, thyroid cancer (except for one very rare type) is the best type of cancer to get – as long as it isn’t neglected. If it’s cancer, the entire gland should be removed and the person will have to take a synthetic thyroid hormone for the rest of his/her life. Really no big problem! (I’ve gone through it and been cancer free since 1985).
