Does a temporary worker need liability insurance if he works as a subcontractor and receives a 1099?
You may be able to ask for more money if you provide your own insurance and name the GC as an Additional Insured under your policy. Check with your GC to negotiate this after you get some quotes from your agent. And it wouldn’t hurt to call a couple of agents since different agents represent different insurance companies.
