Does a student teacher teaching in a private school need to do any student teaching in a public school?

If the private school is WASC-accredited then “no” they don’t need to student teach in a public school. If, however, the private school is not WASC-accredited then the student teacher needs to complete a 4-week placement in a public school setting. This usually happens over the summer time. You can discuss this with your Site Coordinator or Program Director.
