Does a student need to submit a formal application to the SAF before obtaining advice and assistance from the SAF advising staff?
The SAF understands that it can be a difficult decision to study abroad and we want students and their families to be completely comfortable with their decision to participate. Therefore, the SAF does not require students to submit their application or make any payments during the period of initial inquiry and advising. Students, parents, and home university officials should feel free to contact our offices to discuss individual interests and concerns prior to submitting a formal application. We also recommend that students attend an SAF study abroad seminar if at all possible.
