An individual must be a registered MSU student to live on campus. Campus Living Services will verify potential residents’ MSU status with the Office of the Registrar. If a student does not register for classes then that student does not need to complete a Release Application. If a student has signed a Contract or Lease and would like to be released due to part-time student status, he/she should submit a Release Application. Note that any student who is granted a release and subsequently registers or becomes a full-time student (with eight or more credits) during the same academic year will have his/her Contract or Lease reinstated.
