Does a stafford loan get sent in a check or does it just get deducted from your tuition?
A stafford loan will be sent directly to your school. They’ll deduct the cost of tuition from the total amount. If the amount equals your tuition, you’ll have no balance left for this semester. if your tuition exceeds the loan amount, you’ll owe the remaining balance on your account. If the tuition is less than the amount of your stafford loan, you’ll get a refund check in the mail for the amount left over after tuition.
