Does a spinal adjustment hurt?
A spinal adjustment delivered skillfully by a chiropractor is in most cases completely painless. Sometimes there is an audible “pop” which accompanies the slight separation of the joint surfaces between the vertebrae (the “pop” is just the release of gas bubbles in the joint fluid). But this occurrence is completely safe and most children find the process of having their spine adjusted to be fun.
