Does a service unit have to be fitted with a manual on-off valve?

According to DIN 24558 point 8.1.2, all pneumatic systems must have an on-off valve in the main supply line. It must be possible for this valve to be secured against unintentional and unauthorised operation in the closed position (system vented) (please also refer to UVV 10.0). However, this does not necessarily mean that the manual on-off valve must directly be part of the service unit, as may be implied here.
