Does a Separation Agreement Supercede a Divorce Judgment?
Roughly one out of every two couples who get married in the United States end up getting a divorce. If the issue of divorce comes up, there are a lot of documents to be created and filed with the courts. Two of those documents are a separation agreement and a divorce judgment. Both cover similar ground, but they have different purposes.
