Does a SELECT geared continuous hinge take longer to install?
No. Multiple door and frame cut-outs and measurements are known to be difficult and time-consuming in new construction or retrofit applications. A SELECT hinge omits the need for cut-outs on the frame or door. Prior knowledge of clearance for the opening is important in selecting the correct hinge. Clearance information such as square or beveled-edged doors, frame opening, and total clearance required (lockside clearance or possible irregularities) should be considered.
