Does a scientific fact and a scientific theory carry the same weight in the scientific community?
It is necessary to specify the fact and the theory. Quantum theory is a theory, but a highly respected and widely accepted one. There may be new theories that don’t have nearly the weight of Quantum theory. What constitutes a ‘scientific fact’ may be hotly debated too, depending on your point of view.
