Does a Salix Babylonica (Weeping Willow) self-sow?

0

I have weeping willow tree in my front yard…which is a good 100 yards from our drain field. It is about 7 years old now. It doesn’t self sow. One tree is what you get, although you can get suckers from below and they need to be removed. Weeping willows are sometimes banned in suburban neighborhoods because of their agressive root system which can damage pipes and septic systems. You must check with your zoning board before planting one. Common willows run and spread in a way similar to aspen trees. They are all connected to each other, like a borg until.
