Does a partnering Ohio licensed architect or firm have to meet the 10-year out of school requirement?
No. Partnering Ohio licensed architects or firms are not required to meet the 10-year out of school requirement. The intent of the partner is to provide a mentoring opportunity between our younger and more seasoned professionals. As well as providing oversight during the creation of the construction documents if an unregistered entrant’s submission wins. I am an unregistered intern architect looking for an Ohio registered architect to partner with for the competition. Entrants can register for the competition without an Ohio registered partner. However an Ohio registered architect MUST be identified at the time of submission. Failure to list an Ohio registered architect as a partner will lead to disqualification. AIA Ohio is keeping a list of intern architects looking to partner with an Ohio registered architect. To be added to the list send an email to aiaohio@assnoffices.com. I am an Ohio registered architect that has been out of school 10 years or more and would like to get involved
