Does a parent have to be present when the bus drops off you child?

Only if they are a kindergarten or preschool student because it is our practice to have a parent, guardian or sibling meet or acknowledge kindergarten/preschool students. If a parent feels it is not necessary to have a parent, guardian or sibling meet the school bus they need to sign and date a permission slip giving us the permission to drop off their kindergartener/preschooler without a guardian present. If we do not have written consent to drop off your kindergarten student without a parent, guardian or sibling present, the bus driver will take your child back to their school or to the daycare Space behind Hathaway elementary and it would be the parents responsibility to pick up the child.
