Does a new Breitling depreciate fast?
Yes, Rolex is cash. Breitling does OK, but will take a fairly big hit in resale value. Most watches other than Rolex and Breitling are niche products and take big hits in the resale market. The key is to get the Breitling at a good discount up front. I have done fairly well on resale of many Breitlings only because I can get almost 40% off new from a local AD, so I can resell for more than gray market dealers.
