Does a new Blackboard course need to be created if a NUSTAR course or cohort (location) was omitted when the course was originally created?

No, a new Blackboard course does not need to be created. The previous course creation request can be edited to add the required NUSTAR course or location. However, only the staff member who originally created the course can edit it. • Log into the Blackboard Course Creation system • From the menu at the left, select ‘Previously created courses’ • Click the ‘edit’ link to the right of the relevant course • Click ‘add’ to add additional course information (ie. course codes or locations) • Click the ‘confirm’ button to update the request with the changes • At the Confirm Course Details page, click the ‘Update course’ button to submit the request The students enrolled in the additional NUSTAR course or location will be enrolled in the Blackboard course on the next interface run (approx each hour).
