A negative EarlyCDT result means that the test did not detect antibodies that are associated with a specific tumor. A negative result is not a conclusion that cancer is not present. You should continue with the regular schedule of cancer tests advised by your healthcare provider.

If your result is negative, your doctor will probably recommend that you continue your regular schedule of testing & examination. A negative test means that none of the antibodies were found above the cutoff level. However, you are still at risk for lung cancer due to your risk factors.
